Enabling BERT for Time Series Tasks by Utilizing Chronos
A Pretraining and Finetuning Approach
I am currently working on my Diplom thesis, investigating how BERT-style encoder models can be adapted for time-series tasks using the Chronos tokenizer and pretraining approach.
My work covers time-series classification, similarity, imputation and regression, together with large-scale hyperparameter optimization experiments.

Trumpet since six.
I have been playing the trumpet since the age of six, making music an important part of my life alongside my studies and work.
Music School Meissen
I started learning the trumpet at a music school in the district of Meissen and later participated successfully in the "Jugend Musiziert" competition.
Landesgymnasium für Musik Dresden
I continued my musical education at the Sächsisches Landesgymnasium für Musik Dresden, with trumpet as my main instrument. I also studied piano and gained experience in choir and orchestra.
Youth Orchestra of Saxony
I was a member of the Youth Orchestra of the Federal State of Saxony.
Universitätsorchester Dresden
I have been a member of the Universitätsorchester Dresden since October 2020.
Besides performing, I am involved in the organisation of the orchestra. As a member of the board and the Project Organization team, I help coordinate concerts and other orchestra projects.
